I'm not entirely ready to restart submissions to deviantART, but I'm getting there...
I'm slowly getting over several life changes. Some good, some not-so-good. I will not bore you with many details.
I've become attached to my decided "life partner" and plan to make it official as soon as it becomes legal in my home state of California. We actually met back in 2002, but we took different paths in life and he ended up in Dallas, Texas since 2006. We reconnected in March 2011, and I came to Texas in September 2011 to be with him while he lives out the remainder of his lease in March. We'll be heading back home to California at the end of March.
Many of you may not know that during my hiatus from deviantART, I have continued some photography and writing (photos nor literature worthy of deviantART, but still it's something - I haven't been COMPLETELY idle!) on my Facebook page. Feel free to add me as a friend (or follow me) there if you so desire by clicking through to www.facebook.com/dirtycar74 .
I've had, and lost (reasons/details are boring) a great job of 5-1/2 years with the State of California.
I've had health ups and downs.
I've had two laptops lost to theft, and along with one of them went my entire gallery's working files and Photoshop CS3. I'm now relegated back to Photoshop 7, when I actually do end up editing photos. Most, if not all, of my Facebook photos are completely unedited, or as I call them "raw".
Well, that's a brief run-down of what's been going on in my life since last I've posted here at deviantART.
Now to something different. I can't be the only one who appreciates those "Bing Dynamic" Windows Desktop themes. I wish there was a way that deviantART could have one that dynamically changes the wallpaper to reflect Daily Deviations. I'm sure it wouldn't be too difficult somehow. I'll have to write to whoever's running the show here now.
I hope to see you guys' more and more frequently from now on, especially after I get home and set up the rest of my computer equipment and I promise, I WILL be posting some new stuff once I get back to the point where I feel I'm doing stuff that's worthy of what I consider to be the absolute best art site on the entire web.
Thanks for taking the time to read, thanks for your patience while I've been away, and thanks for being a friend.
Have a blessed day!
Been a while, been through a lot, but working my way back to a good life. Good to be back. I will try to post some artwork soon. I'm not at home, but in Texas until end of March. When I get home, I plan on restarting my photography projects. Look forward to sharing again. Have a great day!
