Surveying the Damage

First of all let me make a few things clear:

1. I have NO IDEA who this is in the photo.
2. I also have no idea how best to categorize this.

OK that being done, on with the back-story:

I was vacationing in Santa Cruz, visiting paulscha, for New Years. It rained so steady and so heavy that the normally tame San Lorenzo River, which winds through a large portion of Santa Cruz and spills out into the Pacific right by the Boardwalk, Became wide and enraged. We absolutely HAD to stop and look. There was this kid on the beach looking for a lost cellular phone. So that's the story of this photo. Enjoy.
