Remembering Grandma Nickey

I am sad to say this, but a close family friend died on July 15 2004 in her sleep.
"Grandma" Nickey Waddell was 76 years old. Everyone who knew her loved her very much and considered her as family. I was blown away by the phone call that gave me this news. I almost fell on the floor from the pure shock. I made this piece of art as a memorial to her.

Age 76, died in Sacramento on 7/15/04. A native of Japan and a resident of Rio Linda, CA for 39 years. Survived by children, Cheryl McCurdy and TiAnne Waddell-Rios, both of Rio Linda; family members residing in Japan, Masayuki Nukariya, Kiyoshi Nukariya, Kinuyo Kumagai, Shinichiro Muramoto, Chikara Kagami, Shigeji Nukariya, Sumi Nukariya, and Kumishige Nukariya;10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Homemaker, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and wife of 50 years.

She will be greatly missed.
